The Timepiece, Old Timers

Old Timers opened in 2004 in the old premises of the Timepiece nightclub. The nightclub had previously vacated and moved into the larger chapel at the end of this side street (off Little Castle Street).

Both buildings had previously belonged to the British Legion Club (Exeter) Limited, and were known as Edwards Memorial Hall(s).

In 1977, the original Timepiece opened in what is now Old Timers. The main area of the nightclub was upstairs with the quieter bar being downstairs. The building has not really changed much from these days.

The new Timespiece which opened around 1998 incorporates a large bar and nightclub. There is also a very extensive beer garden.

the garden appears to have once been a graveyard which suggests the building was once a chapel or church of some sort.
