The Elephant & Castle Inn, was possibly bombed during WW2. Currently the end of Codrington Street
where this pub stood is occupied by Codrington Court (around 2004), but the site for many years remained empty.
Not listed in White's Devon Directory of 1850. The address was 36 Summerland Street and it was possibly bombed in WW2. TG Ellis was resident in 1905 when the place issued checks.
